About Us

Our History

The "Organic Armenia" Agricultural Association was established in 2019 and unites farmers, producers, experts, processing enterprises, policymakers and educational initiatives involved in organic and sustainable agriculture. Our mission is to promote the production, processing and consumption of organic food in Armenia, support sustainable agriculture and contribute to a clean and healthy environment.

At the same time, the Association fosters the development of the sector and encourages the consumption of locally produced, sustainable food both within Armenia and beyond its borders.

Our Vision

Our vision is to establish an organic and safe food system in Armenia that promotes people's health, supports the well-being of farming families, preserves natural ecosystems and biodiversity and ensures the sale of reliable and competitive products both in local and international markets.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create and ensure a strong, united and trusted national voice for certified organic farmers, producers and processors in both domestic and international markets. We aim to build and promote a producer-led national organic movement and policy platform that contributes to the reform of Armenia's organic system, strengthens the capacities of sector actors and supports international integration.

In pursuit of this mission, the Association focuses on the following areas:

Developing and promoting policies related to organic agriculture and advancing sectoral interests
Strengthening the capacities of farmers, producers, and processors
Promoting collaboration within Armenia and beyond, ensuring effective engagement of sector actors and simultaneous sector development

Two Membership Models

Full Members

Farmers operating in Armenia or abroad who are either certified organic or in transition to organic production, as well as to organic producers and processing companies.

Affiliated Members

Farmers, producers, processing companies, resellers, supermarkets, shops, restaurants, service providers (certification bodies, consulting companies, etc.), educational institutions, travel agencies, NGOs and individuals, including consumers and supporters of the sector.

The “Organic Armenia” Association has been collaborating for many years with various local and international partner organizations, jointly implementing programs, initiatives, and development-oriented activities. The Story of the Website Creation

The website of the Organic Armenia Agricultural Association was created and maintained with the financial support of the Austrian Development Cooperation, ACBA Bank and Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU). Its contents are the sole responsibility of the Organic Armenia Agricultural Association and do not necessarily reflect the views of funding and supporting parties.

All Green Educational Platform

The latest update of the website was carried out within the framework of the "Development of Organic and Regenerative Agriculture Education in Armenia" project, implemented by the Organic Armenia Agricultural Association and the Peipsi Center for Transboundary Cooperation, with financial support from ESTDEV. As part of this initiative, the "All Green" Educational Platform, integrated with this website, was also created and developed.
